Snaps in Jasper, Indiana has been my mothers restaurant for over a decade now. Being a family owned and operated business, Snaps is a regular spot that families with young kids frequent, and the last year she’s contracted me to make coloring pages to make them feel even more welcome.

The name “Snaps” comes from an old owner, so rather than rebranding completely away from that, my mom embraces the history of the nearly 200 year old building but gives it her own spin. That’s where “Snappy” our iconic alligator friend came to be. It doesn’t hurt that alligator tail is a delicious best seller.

I’ve really enjoyed creating fun illustrations that represent different times of the year that are important to the community Snaps is a part of.
